A scary day - 17 years ago today.

This day in 1994- a day any of us in southern California are not likely to forget. A 6.7 earthquake centered in Northridge shook us all up at 4:31 in the morning. My Disney job was located in the Tower building in Burbank, which was undamaged, but the Disney Studio didn't fair so lucky, particularly the Roy O. Disney building which suffered structural damage. The Archives, the Disney University and all that were housed in that building had to be evacuated to other locations for about a year.My wife worked in the old bungalow that had been moved from the previous Disney Studios on Hyperion, and that little building held up remarkably well. Unfortunately, that tree behind me in the above photo became a casualty of the earthquake and is no longer there.
