Jeff Hoffman's Disney career

I first met Jeff Hoffman while I was working at Disney TV Animation. At that time, he was a part of what was known as the Disney University at the studios in Burbank, California. Jeff always seemed to have a smile on his face, and I know that he loves Disney just as much as I do.

In fact, Jeff is responsible starting what is known as the Disney Legends Awards, an internal honor to those people within the company who have made a major contribution. Julie Andrews, Fess Parker, Sterling Holloway are some of the better-known names, but it also includes many of those names that will never be known by the public, but are no less important.

Through his Disney career, he has helped countless people around the world as the vice president of Worldwide Outreach. I once asked him if Disney profits at all from his department and he told me no, but "we believe in giving back and utilizing our core competencies to helpbrighten the lives of children and families around the world when theyneed it most. We do a lot of work with children’s hospitals, wishgranting, reading programs and environmental initiatives."

During his recent last two days as a Disney Cast Member, he visited the studio and Disneyland, reflecting on an amazing career and I am so grateful that he has chosen my site, Mouse Clubhouse, to tell his story.

I hope you enjoy it!
